Gabon celebrated the first anniversary of its membership to the great family of the Commonwealth at the Baie des Rois in Libreville on 25 July. It was on June 25, 2022, that the country had the honor of joining the intergovernmental institution at the Kigali Summit.
Gabon has been a member of the Commonwealth for a year now. It was therefore to mark this event that the country, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other representatives of Gabon’s ministries, celebrated its first anniversary as a member of the aforementioned organization yesterday at the Baie des Rois.
With more than 50 member countries, the Commonwealth is an intergovernmental organisation that promotes values common to all its members, including equality, non-discrimination, democracy, the rule of law, democratic ethics, gender equality, sustainable development and environmental protection.
