The President of the African Development Bank, Dr. Akinwumi AYODEJI ADESINA and the Gabonese Head of State discussed economic, environmental, social and financial issues yesterday at the Palais Rénovation in Libreville. The Pan-African financial institution is therefore committed to supporting the actions of Ali BONGO ONDIMBA, aimed at the development of the country.

Akinwumi AYODEJI ADESINA, who was with Serge Marie N’GUESSAN, Director General for Central Africa and Nouridine KANE DIA, AfDB Country Manager, wishes to help Gabon in the implementation of its priority projects, in particular those related to “water, energy, telecommunications, transport, road infrastructure, agri-food and youth employability”.

The development of special agro-industrial zones”, which will lead Gabon towards food self-sufficiency, was not left out of the discussions between the two men. Moreover, a summit entitled “Feeding Africa” will be held from January 25 to 27, 2023, in Dakar, Senegal, said the Bank’s President.
At the end of the meeting, the AfDB President congratulated the Gabonese leader on his environmental strategies at the continental level.
