On 7 December 2022, the organizers of this race published the list of the 15 teams that will participate in the 2023 edition of the Tropicale Amissa Bongo. The event will host a range of high-level professionals who are experienced in top-level sporting events such as the Tour de France.

The 16th edition will start in the province of Woleu-Ntem, between Bitam and Oyem, and then towards Mitzic. The race will continue in Ngounié, Moyen-Ogooué, Ogooué maritime and Estuaire.
Created in 2006, la Tropicale Amissa Bongo is organized every year in January. It generally brings together African and European national teams.
