The President of Gabon, His Excellency Ali BONGO ONDIMBA, has since April 18 been responding to an invitation of the highest importance from his Chinese counterpart XI JINPING. This state visit, which will last until the 21st, has allowed the two politicians to further consolidate the diplomatic, economic and social ties between their two countries.
Moreover, both States decided to ” increase exchanges and cooperation in the areas of peace and security, to intensify high-level exchanges between the two armies and to strengthen cooperation, particularly in the areas of personnel training, combating cross-border crime, equipment and technology, as well as joint exercises and training”, says the joint declaration between the two States on the establishment of the global cooperative strategic partnership.
At the end of this very warm meeting between the two men, the Gabonese President did not fail to invite XI JINPING in Libreville in 2024, for the celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of relations between China and Gabon.
