After the first edition of the national photography competition organized under the patronage of Noureddin BONGO VALENTIN, from October 25, 2021, to January 14, 2022, under the theme of Fauna and Flora, Amazing Gabon made a series of travelling exhibitions in the country, including the Universal Exhibition in Dubai in March at the Gabon Pavilion, to popularize the value of Gabon’s biodiversity. It is therefore in the same context that the organizers of the said competition will be exhibiting the best photographs presented by the participants, next week in New York in the United States.
This event is held during an important period for the country, because Gabon currently assumes the presidency of the United Nations Security Council and has also just acquired the certification by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change of 187 million carbon credits sequestered over the period 2010–2018. A certification that will allow Gabon to benefit from financial support for the conservation of its forests.
Considered among the priorities of the governmental policy of President Ali BONGO ONDIMBA, the environmental strategies elaborated by him may today be congratulated, considering the results achieved.
