La Tropicale Amissa Bongo, one of the greatest road cycling races in Africa, will take place from 23 to 29 January 2023 in Gabon. This international event will be held for the first time after a two-year interruption due to the Covid-19 pandemic that affected the whole world.

Several African Heads of State, including President Ali BONGO ONDIMBA, are invited to discuss issues of common interest and values related to democracy and human rights at the United States-Africa Leaders Summit in Washington, D.C., from December 13-14.

Invited for a working meeting by his Togolese counterpart, the Gabonese Head of State, His Excellency Ali BONGO ONDIMBA is awaited from November 30 to December 1, 2022, in the country of Faure Essozimna GNASSINGBÉ. This meeting will allow the two men to strengthen the cooperation ties between the two countries.

He is taking part in the COP 27 which will take place from November 6 to 18.

Two years after the deadly conflict in the Tigray region in Ethiopia, a cease-fire was declared on Wednesday, November 2, by the Ethiopian government and the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF). The African Union, which played the mediator’s role, is very pleased with this news.

After the positive exchanges between the President of the Republic, His Excellency Ali BONGO ONDIMBA and his counterpart, Emir BIN ZAYED AL NAHYANE, on October 24, 2022, in Abu Dhabi, Gabon and the United Arab Emirates signed an agreement on the exemption of the visa for the citizens of both countries. In the educational field, five (5) scholarships were also offered to the Gabonese government, in the context of the strengthening of cooperation.
