To help African countries to improve their media landscape was the main theme of the Seminar for Young Media Talents from African Countries organized by the Academy for International Trade Officials of China Ministry of Commerce. It took place from October 12 to 25, 2002, by videoconference and seventeen (17) employees of the 24-hour bilingual news channel, Gabon 24 participated in this training, as part of the sponsorship of skills.

Economic diversification remains a major concern for Central African countries. This is why, a financing plan for the community strategy worth CFAF 642 billion to develop cassava production and processing in the subregion was elaborated, at the end of the meeting of the Technical Secretariat of the Economic and Financial Reform Program of the Economic and Monetary Community of Central African States (PREF-CEMAC), held on September 18, 2022, in Cameroon.

The Gabonese flag was raised yesterday October 17th in London at the Commonwealth Headquarters, on the roof of Marlborough House in attendance of President Ali BONGO ONDIMBA and some special guests, including high commissioners, senior government officials, and the media.

With a Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of $8,017 per capita at the beginning of 2022, Gabon is considered as the richest country in Africa for the second consecutive year, according to the report of the Centre d’Étude et de Réflexion sur le Monde Francophone (CERMF) published on October 12.

Gabon is now allowed to sell its carbon credits. In its recently released report on the technical analysis of the country’s environmental activities, the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) certified the 187 million carbon credits sequestered by Gabon over the 2010–2018 period. The data provided by the Gabonese government were considered compliant and transparent with the established directives.

Gabon will assume the presidency of the United Nations Security Council from 6 to 30 October 2022. The country, through the Head of State, Ali BONGO ONDIMBA intends to put in place ad hoc mechanisms to solve problems related to the disturbance of peace and security in the world.
