After the positive exchanges between the President of the Republic, His Excellency Ali BONGO ONDIMBA and his counterpart, Emir BIN ZAYED AL NAHYANE, on October 24, 2022, in Abu Dhabi, Gabon and the United Arab Emirates signed an agreement on the exemption of the visa for the citizens of both countries. In the educational field, five (5) scholarships were also offered to the Gabonese government, in the context of the strengthening of cooperation.

Reviewing investment opportunities in Gabon was the objective of the Head of State Ali BONGO ONDIMBA who went on Monday, October 24, 2022, to the United Arab Emirates for a working and friendship visit. To help African countries to improve their media landscape was the main theme of the Seminar for Young Media Talents from African Countries organized by the Academy for International Trade Officials of China Ministry of Commerce. Gabon is now allowed to sell its carbon credits. In its recently released report on the technical analysis of the country’s environmental activities, the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) certified the 187 million carbon credits sequestered by Gabon over the 2010–2018 period. The data provided by the Gabonese government were considered compliant and transparent with the established directives.
